Lehigh Valley Gap Habitat Design

Developed in collaboration with Whitehall Township

We have worked with the administration of Parkland High School to create a native plant garden on the high school premises. The garden will include natively occurring plants, artificial animal habitats, and informational placards. Community United is currently engaged in the design and building processes of this project. This will restore critical species to the ecosystem surrounding the high school. Once the project is completed it will be maintained by the Parkland High School Conservation Club.

We have worked with Whitehall Township to develop plans for Community United to create key habitats for a variety of animals within the Lehigh Valley. We are currently contracted to develop artificial habitats for a variety of animals, including jays, bats, and ducks. Once these birdhouses are completed, we will continue to monitor them for invasive species and ensure that the habitats are being used by the intended animals.

In collaboration with the Hindu Temple, we are restoring their grounds to be more sustainable and work in conjunction with nature. This will occur through a construction of habitats, revitalization of grounds, and other developments. Through this we will be able to assist in adding natural spaces to a local community center.

Working in collaboration with Lehigh Valley Aubudon Society to provide volunteers to local educational events about the climate, write informative flyers/articles, and plan future programs. Through this we are able to encourage natural activities and spread the word about important conservation efforts in our community.

We have been able to design, develop and maintain informational kiosks on nature for Whitehall Township. This has allowed for more people to gain valuable information about our natural world and how to protect it. Through this, we spread the word of vital conservation efforts, information about the natural world, and upcoming projects in our community.

We have been contracted by Lehigh Valley Gap to design artificial habitats. We have been responsible for constructing designs to their specifications and planning the materials that would be used to build them. This design would be used for artificial habitats throughout the Lehigh Valley.
